Erin Barisonek

Erin Barisonek is a member of the class of 2024 at Madison High School. She has been a K2K mentor since middle school. She originally volunteered because her brother Teddy was a participant in the swim program. She became further involved when the program switched to remote due to Covid. She is so proud to be a part of the work that K2K did to keep participants connected at a time when it was most needed.

Erin has been a year round competitive swimmer for 12 years and was excited at the opportunity to share her love of swimming through K2K. One of Erin’s favorite memories was the end of season meet. It was so rewarding and exciting to see how far the kids had come and it was wonderful to celebrate their accomplishments together.

At school, Erin is an honors student and has been a member of National Honors Society since 10th grade. She has also been a member of the varsity swim team since 9th grade. She is very involved in Connection Club, which fosters relationships between students and members of the special needs community. Erin is excited to continue expanding K2K by recruiting new mentors and looks forward to getting more involved in the swimming and golf programs.
