Morristown Knights of Columbus Donate to Support Kids2Kids Special Needs Program

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Morristown Knights of Columbus have generously donated funds to the Kids2Kids Special Needs Mentoring Program. This donation underscores the Knights’ commitment to supporting local organizations that are dedicated to making a difference through both financial and manpower assistance.

Kids2Kids, a local nonprofit, is known for its remarkable work in pairing teenage mentors with special needs children. The program offers a diverse range of activities, including swimming, tae kwon do, golf, yoga, art, and theater, all aimed at teaching essential skills while fostering meaningful social connections between mentors and their mentees. The K2K teen leadership board provides programming every weekday evening and up to two swimming sessions on Saturdays at the Morristown High School pool.

The contribution from the Knights of Columbus is particularly impactful, as it helps offset the operational costs of the program. This support allows Kids2Kids to continue offering low-cost activities to families who already face financial strains due to the costs of therapy for their special needs children. The program currently serves over 100 local families, creating an atmosphere that truly highlights the best of humanity.

K2K is immensely grateful for the generosity of the Knights of Columbus and their unwavering support. For teens interested in making a difference as mentors, more information is available on the Kids2Kids website at www.kidstokids.us.
